Fine lines and wrinkle treatments (Botox®)

Who is a good candidate for this treatment?

Patients with wrinkles between the eyebrows, forehead lines and crows feet.

What can this treatment do for me?

Botulinum toxin will reduce your ability to use the muscles that cause the wrinkles, the areas injected will be smoothed out. Most patients find that is lasts about 3 months.

How is the treatment done?

A very dilute solution is injected using a fine needle into the muscles around the eyes.

What kind of anaesthetic do I need?

None is needed.

How long am I in hospital?

The treatment is carried out as an outpatient.

How quickly will I recover?

Immediately.

What are the potential problems with this treatment?

Bruising especially around the crows feet. Headaches lasting one to two days and drooping eyebrows if the Botox® is used to close to the eyebrow.
